Our Story

About Maverick Made.

Before this brand existed, I got fired.

I was working at an interior design agency in Singapore when they let me go for being, in their words, too much of a maverick. Not long after, Covid hit. To make ends meet, I did food deliveries. Long hours, busy roads, a couple of minor scrapes, and a lot of time to think.

That season taught me the value of doing things properly. When you have had to work for every dollar, you become more careful about what is worth paying for, what is worth keeping, and what is worth making.

Leathercraft began with a motorbike tank strap I could not find, so I made one myself. It was imperfect, but it showed me something that still guides the brand today: good craft starts with honest material.

Maverick Made. was built on that belief.

We use full-grain vegetable-tanned leather because it ages instead of expires. It carries grain, texture, marks and patina. It does not hide its character. It becomes more personal with use.

I named the brand Maverick Made. because it felt honest. Made by someone who did not fit the mould for people who do not need to.

Today, we create small-batch leather goods for people and businesses who believe things should be made with more care. No shortcuts, no synthetic substitutes, no hype. Just honest leatherwork, built from materials worth respecting, and made to stay with you.
